Ritika is a computer science developer in the lab who serves as the lead programmer in charge of developing and maintaining the PHAST software package, improving the UCSC Genome browser and supporting much of the lab’s infrastructure including servers, databases, software, and documentation. Prior to this, Ritika designed and implemented bioinformatics applications and tools for data management, analysis and visualization at both BASF and the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Ritika has a M.S in Bioinformatics from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and a B.T. in Bioinformatics from Dr. D.Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute, India. Ritika joined the Siepel lab in 2015.
