Elizabeth “Lizzie” Hutton
Lizzie was a Ph.D. student in the CSHL School of Biological Sciences at CSHL. Her interest is in gene regulation. Lizzie worked closely with the Vakoc Lab at CSHL to leverage CRISPR-Cas 9 screens in the prediction of fitness consequences of mutations. In particular, she explored the use of machine-learning methods to discover novel genetic vulnerabilities in cancer subtypes to identify potential therapeutic targets. She has a B.A. in Molecular Biology, with a certificate in Quantitative and Computational Biology from Princeton University.
