Luiz is a Ph.D. student in the Genetics Program at Stony Brook University who is interested in using ancestral recombination graphs (ARGs) to study adaptive processes on the genome. He has a B.S. in Biology and MSc. in Genetics from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Luiz joined the Siepel Lab in mid-2022.
