Katie Brenner
Katie is the Assistant Director of Administration for the Simons and Cancer Centers, bringing over 15 years of managerial and hands-on research experience. She manages and coordinates various aspects of the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) and Quantitative Biology (QB) projects in her dual role. This includes managing scientific projects, administering CCSG developmental funds, identifying collaboration and funding opportunities, supporting policy development and strategic planning, providing grant writing support, and editing and distributing reports and online resources. As the former Director of Project Management at the New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF), Katie oversaw revenue-generating projects focused on induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells, leveraging an automated robotics platform she helped build. Additionally, as Lab Manager at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute, she contributed to establishing a high-throughput screening facility and the implementation of an automated cell-based assay for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) research. Katie holds a B.S. in Biology from Siena College and joined CSHL in early 2018.
