Nurdan Kuru, Ph.D.
Nurdan is a postdoctoral researcher in the Siepel Lab, focusing on computational evolution and population genomics. Her current research involves developing a multi-ancestry polygenic risk score prediction approach using Ancestral Recombination Graphs (ARGs). Before joining the lab, Nurdan worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Adebali Lab at Sabuncı University, where she focused on phylogeny-aware algorithm development for variant effect prediction and co-evolution. She completed her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering at the same university, under the supervision of Dr. İlker Birbil and Dr. Sinan Yıldırım. Nurdan joined the Siepel Lab in May 2024.
