Yixin Zhao, Ph.D.
Yixin is a research investigator in the lab interested in applying novel computational and experimental techniques, such as statistical modeling, machine learning, and nascent RNA sequencing, to study the evolution of gene regulation, including both transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation. Yixin completed his Ph.D. training under the supervision of Prof. Chung-I Wu at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), where he focused on studying microRNA evolution using high-throughput sequencing data and molecular biology experiments. He also holds a B.S. in Biotechnology at SYSU. Yixin joined the Siepel lab at CSHL as a computational postdoc in early 2018.
